12th Annual Falcon Football Golf Classic

The Tradition Continues!

It was a beautiful, sunny day at Lomas Santa Fe Country Club.

The security at the event was tough. They even made this guy sign in. Last we heard, he cleared.

While the golfers were out on the course, the serious football people attended Coach Ashby's Football 101 course. Classroom participation will affect your final grade!

After the golfers straggled back to the clubhouse, everyone enjoyed a reception and silent auction.

There were lots of great items to peruse.

And the merchandise was nice, too.

Dinner was served, another fine feast from the folks at Lomas Santa Fe.

Then, the festivities commenced.

Our host for the evening, Russ T. Nailz, put on a heckuva show.

And we sold many great items, raising a lot of money for our team. There was the Padres Party for 30, the laser eye surgery, vacations in Cabo, Hawaii, Park City and Colorado, Chargers sideline package, Batboy for a day, the Tiger Woods autographed photo, and the VIP package at home games, among other valuable items obtained by our auction committee. Thanks, Russ T, and all of you who helped out by participating in the auction.

There were nice prizes for the top golfers-- golf bags, spirit wear, certificates. The Magill/Tomlinson team made out like bandits. Calls for a recount were ignored.

Coach Ashby then spoke to the crowd, thanking everyone for coming out and supporting the team.

It was a great ending to a truly enjoyable day. One that was successful in raising the funds that our program needs to maintain the standards of excellence that we appreciate so much at Torrey Pines High School.
