It's time for the 12th Annual Falcon Football Golf Classic.
Join us for a relaxing round of golf, a fun reception, and a wonderful banquet dinner, all to benefit the Torrey Pines Football Program.
Date: June 18, 2007.
Cost: $250 per golfer. Price includes golf and attendance at dinner banquet.
We will be playing at Lomas Santa Fe Country Club, located at 1505 Lomas Santa Fe Drive, Solana Beach, CA 92075.
Our day starts with registration at 11:30am, where you will receive a goody bag and a cart assignment. We will provide a barbecue lunch. You can warm up at the driving range, practice your putting and hit a few chip shots, all included.
We hit the links at 12:30 pm for our scramble-format tournament. On the course, there will be free beverages, 2 hole in one contests where the prize is a car, a longest drive contest (men's and women's) and a closest to the pin contest.
Meanwhile, while the golfers are out on the course, Coach Ashby is hard at work, teaching his mini-clinic on Falcon Football, which is dubbed "Football 101". That starts at 4pm at the clubhouse, and is FREE to anyone who is interested in learning more about football in general, or about the systems that Torrey Pines uses. Attending the Football 101 course also gains you entry to the silent auction.
After the golfing is done, there is a reception from 5pm to 6:30pm, during which there is a Silent Auction with lots of great items up for bidding. This year's list is better than ever! There will be bargains galore.
A very nice buffet dinner is served beginning at 6:30. You do not have to play golf to attend the dinner--dinner tickets are a mere $60. Please try to let us know you are coming, but you can pay at the door.
After dinner, we have a Live Auction, hosted by local comedian and entertainer Russ T. Nailz. Russ T. has some really nice items to sell for us this year, including a party for 30 in the Owner's box at Petco (donated by John Moores and the Padres), eye surgery valued at $5000, vacation packages in Hawaii, Park City and Cabo, field passes and tickets to a Chargers game, and a limited edition autographed picture of Tiger Woods. After the live auction, Coach Ashby will provide his preview of the upcoming season. Then, we announce the winners of the tournament, and the winners of our drawings.
It promises to be a memorable and fun day, and we hope you can join us.
