NOTE: If you have an edited video clip of a game highlight to share with the team & community via this website, please email it to me . The most usable clips meet the following parameters:
- Running time 30 secs. or less
- Steady frame -- herky/jerky need not apply
- File format - .mpg/.mp2, .wmv or .divx. Files in .mov or .avi format tend to be too large.
- Frame size - about 320x240.
- TIP: Save some bandwidth and down-sample the audio track to Mono 8kHz. Unless the audio track is poetry, you can save some file size by NOT using 44kHz Stereo for crowd noise.
- Edited with title overlay, game info or game situation (e.g., "3rd Qtr, 4th &15, TD pass") already completed, if you want to have those features.
Notes on Future Video File Postings:
HiLite Clips will be posted in either Windows Media format (.WMV) or in AVI format (.AVI) using DIVX, depending on the resulting file quality and size.
(In response to a couple requests, I've increased the video resolution to 640x480. As a result, it's a larger file to download, but the video should be clearer at larger playback sizes.)
