Dear Parents,

Recently, we have had a few players who have reported flu-like symptoms and have been seen by their doctors. As you probably know, flu-like symptoms have been associated with the H1N1 virus, and thus we are taking precautions to ensure the health and safety of all players. In accordance with the recommendations of the CDC, we are asking that you and your child be aware of any flu-like symptoms they may develop. The primary symptoms include:
        Fever
        Cough
        Sore Throat
        Body Aches
        Headache
        Chills
        Fatigue
        Diarrhea
        Vomiting

If your child develops these symptoms please do not send your child to practice and have them seen by a doctor immediately. If your child has already developed these symptoms and you have seen a doctor, please keep us informed as to their condition and they should remain away from practice for seven (7) days from the start of symptoms. At this time, all facilities have been cleaned thoroughly, and no practices or weight-lifting activities have been canceled. Please check the TPHS Football web site for further updates.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

Rob Coppo
Assistant Principal

“Football is a great deal like life in that it teaches that work, sacrifice, perseverance, competitive drive, selflessness and respect for authority is the price that each and every one of us must pay to achieve any goal that is worthwhile.”
